Women's Basketball: Mason and Wheeler earn All-PAC Honorable Mention; Dusenberry named to Sportsmanship Team

The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) announced its 2022-23 All-PAC women's basketball teams and yearly award winners Tuesday.  

Earning All-PAC Honorable Mention honors were junior Makenzee Mason and sophomore Ashleigh Wheeler. Freshman Taylor Dusenberry was named to the PAC Sportsmanship team.  

Despite battling through a number of injuries, Mason finished the season averaging 11.9 points in 19 games while making 13 starts. She was second on the team in rebounding (6.1) and assists (1.9).  In 13 games she had 10+ points and scored 20+ points in two. She had a season-high 23 points against Grove City and dropped 20 against Juniata. The junior guard led the Bison with two double-doubles with teammate Sophie Morey. This is the third consecutive year she has earned All-PAC honors.  

Wheeler finished the season averaging 10.8 points and a team-high 2.2 assists. She scored a season-high 23 points against Chatham and scored 20 points the game before against Thiel. In the final matchup against Geneva, she was shy of her first career triple-double with 10 points, seven rebounds and six assists.  

Dusenberry finished the season averaging 6.0 points and 3.8 rebounds. She finished the final three games averaging 13.3 points and 5.0 rebounds.  

The Bison finished the season 9-17 (9-11 PAC).
